Teams Event
A team consists of 8 riders with all 8 scores per category from the show hunter riding rounds and the equitation round contributing to the final team score. Where a team cannot field a team of 8 and whereby a draft rider cannot be accessed by/with the team, a default score of 40 will be allocated. A minimum of 6 riders constitutes a full team.
Individual Competition (Show Hunter Riding Rounds)
Within the event, the opportunity is provided for riders to compete individually within their category. All 4 show hunter riding scores are totalled to gain each individual’s final score.
Equitation Competition (Equitation Round)
Within the event, there is 1 equitation round per category. This is an individual score which contributes to the overall team score but NOT to the individual score. It is judged by 2 judges. Both judges scores are added together and then divided by 2 to gain an average. The average score is the rider’s final equitation score.
Results
Team Score: The team score and placings will be posted at the completion of each of the first 3 rounds by all 4 categories. The final results will not be posted until after the completion of prizegiving.
Individual Score: All scores and placings will be posted at the completion of each of the first 3 rounds by all 4 categories. The final individual round results will not be posted until after the completion of prizegiving.
Pairs Score: All scores and placings will be posted at the completion of each of the first 3 rounds in all 4 categories. The final pairs round results will not be posted until after the completion of prizegiving.
Equitation Score: Equitation results will not be posted until after the completion of prizegiving.
Ribbons, Rosettes, Trophies, Covers
Ribbons:
Individual Show Hunter: Ribbons will be awarded to the 1st six placings in each of the rounds for each category. Riders are encouraged to collect their ribbons from the office as soon as possible after the results are posted.
Pairs Category: Ribbons will be awarded to the 1st six placings in each of the rounds for each category for the highest combined pairs score. Riders are encouraged to collect their ribbons from the office as soon as possible after the results are posted. For the 2016 event ribbons are awarded for the overall pairs winners 1st six placings for each category. The Philippa Bell Trophy will be presented to the highest scoring pair overall at prize giving.
Individual Show Hunter and Pairs Round Ribbons for the 4th and final round will be available for collection after prize giving.
Rosettes
Rosettes are presented for placings 1st to 6th in the Teams Event, Individual Competition and Equitation Competition. These are presented at prize giving.
Trophies
Trophies are presented to 1st place winners in the Teams Event, Individual Competition and Equitation Competition. Photos after prize giving with trophies is encouraged. Trophies are to be returned to the Office at the completion of this.
Covers
Championship covers are awarded to all 8 team members of the winning Team and to all Individual Category winners.
